"It's not much of a tail, but I'm sort of attached to it."
- Eeyore
Eeyore describes himself as "just a gloomy old donkey." He is known for eating thistles and losing his tail. Eeyore has also been known to write poetry. Since Eeyore is a stuffed animal, Christopher Robin can always reattach his tail with a pin.
Eeyore first appeared in the children's book Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne. He got his name from the braying sound that a donkey makes.

Eeyore makes his home at the southeast corner of the Hundred Acre Wood, a place labeled as "Eeyore's Gloomy Place: Rather Boggy and Sad." There, he builds a hut of sticks which often falls on him and offers no protection from the rain.
Eeyore has appeared in numerous books, movies, television series, and articles of merchandise. Eeyore can be met "in person" at various Disney World and Disneyland parks, near the Pooh attractions.
